AMC Accreditation

To further set your company apart from the competition, AMC Institute offers an accreditation program. AMC Institute is recognized by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as the developer of the AMC Standard. The AMC Institute Accreditation Program provides a process that every single AMC should consider going through. This process ensures that AMCs have documented policies and procedures in place that support quality standards and exceptional customer servicing of clients in the following areas:
  • Client Contracts
  • Servicing Clients
  • Service Evaluation
  • Financial Controls
  • Insurance Requirements
  • Employee Recruitment and Selection
  • Employee Evaluation and Training
  • Subcontracting Requirements
  • Record Keeping Requirements

To assist AMC Institute members through this process, we offer the following resources:

Accreditation Workbook — This book contains helpful information and explanations of what a company needs to document and present to an auditor as part of the process. An electronic copy of the workbook can be purchased for $100 (members) or $300 (non-members). There is an additional $20 charge for hard copies.

Accreditation Mentor Program — There are a number of accredited AMCs that have volunteered to serve as mentors in the accreditation process. These experienced practitioners will serve as valuable resources to you when you have questions about a particular section of the accreditation standard or are looking for samples of what other AMCs have done.

Introduction to AMC Institute Accreditation — At least three times a year, either as a webinar or in conjunction with another AMC Institute event, AMC Institute offers an introductory accreditation session. This information-packed seminar breaks down each section of the AMC Institute accreditation Standard to provide an explanation and possible responses you can offer to complete your accreditation application.

Accreditation Lab — At least three times per year, either as a webinar or in conjunction with another AMC Institute event, AMC Institute offers a "lab" session to work through the sections you find most difficult and provides the opportunity to question AMCs that have been through it. The facilitators bring examples of different procedures they have established and are able to provide valuable feedback to your questions and concerns.

AMC Institute Website — There are a number of resources available on the AMC Institute website, including samples of almost every policy and procedure required through the accreditation standard.
