Menomonee Falls, WI – Betsy Smith, CPA, MST, has been promoted to Vice President of Finance at Association Acumen, effective immediately. Smith has eighteen years of public and non-profit accounting experience. She oversees accounting and finance functions, information technology and is also heavily involved in the transition process of transferring new clients’ financial records and systems to Acumen. She had previously served as Executive Director of Finance.
Smith has extensive experience with preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions and disclosures. Other areas of expertise include: financial statement and management reporting, process improvement and performance, forecasting and analysis and accounting policies and procedures. She holds an MS in taxation from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, a BBA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater and is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of Wisconsin.
