Walker Joins Clarion Management Resources
Alexandria, Va. (December 5, 2006) – Clarion Management Resources, a full-service association management company, is please to announce the appointment of Dee Ann Walker, CAE to its executive management staff as Vice President, Professional Services. Walker brings more than 30 years of association management experience, including 17 years as owner and President of Walker Management Group, an association management company located in Nashville, TN. In that capacity, she has served as Executive Director for professional societies in the veterinary medical, health care, and scientific professions.
Throughout her career, Walker has contributed to the association management profession through active, voluntary involvement in professional and trade organizations. Her leadership at the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) included stints as Chair of ASAE's Association Management Companies Section Council, as well as membership on the Awards Committee, Annual Meeting Planning Committee, Allied Society Council, and most recently the ASAE AMC Key Committee. Walker is a past chair of the AMCinstitute and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC.) She is a past president of both the Tennessee Society of Association Executives and the American Society of Veterinary Medical Executives. Walker earned the certified association executive (CAE) designation in 1987.
Walker has been recognized repeatedly for her outstanding service to the organizations she has served. Among her honors, she was named Tennessee's Association Executive of the Year and was selected as the nation's Outstanding Veterinary Medical Association Executive. She has long been a community activist and has received accolades for her service, particularly in the area of historic preservation and inner city development.
