SmithBucklin Promotes David Schmahl to Senior Director

CHICAGO - Oct. 20, 2006 – SmithBucklin, the world's largest association management company, announced today the promotion of David Schmahl to Senior Director. In his new role, Schmahl will work out of SmithBucklin's Chicago office to lead the company's efforts to develop new products and services for SmithBucklin client organizations.

Schmahl joined SmithBucklin in 2003 as an association executive. While with the company, he has served as executive director for both Insight, the largest independent user group for McKesson healthcare IT customers, and SHARE, an IBM users group.

"David has provided his client organizations and staff with strong leadership and innovative approaches to client service management," said SmithBucklin President and COO Julie Silverstein. "His focused approach on delivering optimal service levels to our client organizations has served both them and his SmithBucklin teams well. He has set an excellent example for his colleagues."

When he joined SmithBucklin, Schmahl brought more than ten years of management experience to the company. Most recently, he was vice president of national sales and business development for Next Generation Network Inc. (NGN), a pioneer in the digital display advertising arena that was acquired by Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC). Previously, Schmahl worked for Procter & Gamble, achieving the role of senior project manager in the market strategy and planning group.
