Whalen Receives Wisconsin Society of Association Executives "Industry Advocate Award"
Kay Whalen, MBA, CAE was the recipient of the 2006 Wisconsin Society of Association Executives- WSAE Industry Advocate Award.
Ms.Whalen was recognized for her "unceasing promotion of the importance of associations to America and the value proposition of Association Management Companies in service to the association community".
Kay has served as President of Executive Director, Inc. – EDI, for seven years and owner for thirteen years. She is also Executive Vice President of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and Executive Director of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. She serves as the consulting principal for twelve other EDI clients.
Kay has served on the board of WSAE, Chair of the ASAE & The Center AMC Council and on the ASAE & The Center AMC Key Committee. Kay is a frequent presenter at ASAE & The Center and has been a speaker at WSAE and the Association Management Company Institute.
