Potomac Management Resources Makes Staffing and Client Announcements
ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 21, 2006 – Potomac Management Resources, a full-service association management and event planning firm, has announced staff additions and changes as well as a new client.
Michelle Adams was hired as PMR's Event Director. She will oversee the company's event staff working on association programs and special events as well as PMR's event and conference clients. She was previously an Event and Sales Director for SmartBadge, a start-up event company in southern California.
Tia Pickeral and Kathryn Way have joined PMR as Account Coordinators. Kimberlee Weidenhamer was also appointed as an Account Coordinator. They will be assisting with member and program services for PMR's association clients. Tia was previously a registrar with the American Bus Association; Kathryn is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia; and Kimberlee was previously the Membership Coordinator for PMR.
The Washington DC Chapter of the Project Management Institute is PMR's newest full-service association client. A 6,000 + member chapter, PMIWDC serves the networking and education needs of area project managers. With monthly meetings, professional development offerings (such as certification review courses), periodic workshops, and a monthly newsletter, PMIWDC strives to promote the profession of Project Management by and for its members, provide opportunities for project management education and the professional development of its members, and provide a framework for professional networking and social interaction among its members.
PMR's services include executive oversight, staffing, administration, financial management, board facilitation and relations, communications, member services, and event planning. Its current national and locally-based association clients include the Advertising Club of Metropolitan Washington, Retail Contractors Association, American Institute of Constructors, Women in Technology, and Women in Housing & Finance. Potomac Forum and the Fabretto Children's Foundation use PMR to plan their programs and events.
