Greater Atlanta Chapter of the American Culinary Federation Contracts with Association Management Resources

Tallahassee, FL – The board of directors of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of the American Culinary Federation (ACF) has selected Tallahassee, FL based Association Management Resources (AMR) to provide full service management for the organization, effective immediately. Susan Cabrera, President for AMR, will serve as Executive Director of the association.

The American Culinary Federation, Inc., a professional, not-for-profit organization for chefs, was founded in 1929 in New York City by three chefs' organizations: the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique, The Vatel Club and The Chefs Association of America. The principal goal of the founding chefs remains to promote a professional image of the American chef worldwide through education among culinarians at all levels, from apprentices to the most accomplished certified master chefs of the culinary arts. Comprised of more than 25,000 members with over 300 individual ACF chapters throughout the United States and Caribbean, in addition to an ACF Army chapter in Frankfurt, Germany, the ACF is the largest and oldest organization dedicated to professional chefs in the USA today. The ACF was the pioneer responsible for elevating the status of executive chef from service status to the professional category in the U.S. Department of Labor's Dictionary of Official Titles, in 1976.

The Atlanta Chapter is the largest chapter within the American Culinary Federation and its members are the premier chefs and associates within the culinary industry. The organization is dedicated to advancing the professionalism of its members through a wide range of programs and services.

Chef Michael Deihl said, "As President of one of the largest Chapters of the (ACF) American Culinary Federation in the country I am extremely excited to work with AMR. AMR provides everything that a non-profit organization needs to be effective in their respective industry while becoming a difference maker in the community. Working with AMR is like having an extended family, they are there whenever you need them, professional, polite and most importantly, they listen."

"We look forward to helping the Atlanta Chapter meet its strategic goals," Susan Cabrera said. "Our staff is dedicated to providing the members of the Chapter with the same level of programs and services they have grown to expect over the years from this organization."

The chapter holds a very popular annual meeting and exposition as well as a culinary competition and a golf tournament. The association also sponsors other educational seminars and workshops throughout the year, and publishes a newsletter, รก la carte for members on a monthly basis.

Association Management Resources has a staff of 9 and offices in Tallahassee and Jacksonville. AMR is the only accredited association management company in the state of Florida and one of only thirty six in the United States. AMR currently serves more than 8 national, international and regional organizations on a full-service and project basis.
