AMR Achieves Association Management Re-Accreditation
Lexington, KY – AMR Management Services (AMR), a Lexington-based association management company (AMC) has successfully renewed its accreditation designation from the AMCinstitute (formerly the International Association of Association Management Companies) after a rigorous and comprehensive review by an independent auditor.
"AMR's re-accreditation designation is a testament to our commitment to quality, service and excellence," said AMR President & CEO John Ruffin, "and I am extremely proud of AMR and its employees for achieving this prestigious goal."
AMCinstitute-accredited AMCs comply with the highest industry standards, approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), a not-for-profit institution that coordinates the development and use of voluntary consensus standards using an impartial process that is recognized and accepted worldwide. ANSI is also actively engaged in accrediting programs that assess conformance to standards – including globally-recognized cross-sector programs such as the ISO 9000 (quality) and ISO 14000 (environmental) management systems.
"We recognize that our clients depend on us to provide management leadership and best practices that contribute to their organizations' success," said Ruffin. "We chose the AMCinstitute's accreditation program because it focuses on client relations and quality controls that streamline business operations."
In 2002, AMR was among the first five AMCs awarded charter accreditation by the AMCinstitute. To date, AMR stands as one of only 36 AMCs worldwide (out of more than 650) to earn this coveted accreditation.
Today AMCs work with over 4,600 associations with annual budgets nearing $3.5 billion (US). These organizations serve approximately five million members. AMCs employ over 7,500 association management professionals.
AMR provides association management, conference and event management, technology, and creative services for full-service and a la carte clients, which include both non-profit organizations and for-profit firms. For more information about AMR and its client-partners, visit www.AMRms.com.
