Redesigned Web Site Caters to Growing Demand
for Association Management Services

AMC Institute leaders say revamp reflects association's new direction

PHILADELPHIA (Feb. 19, 2007) — As part of an effort to serve the growing association management company (AMC) industry, as well as its current and future association partners, the AMC Institute has unveiled a vastly enhanced and visitor-driven Web site.

The redesign and expansion of AMCInstitute.org will increase communications - and respond to business opportunities — among members, association volunteer leaders, the media and the general public.

The Philadelphia-based AMC Institute (formerly the International Association of Association Management Companies) represents more than 140 AMCs throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. The contemporary Web site embodies the new strategic direction of the organization, which was adopted last year and included a name change and updated logo. Along with the logo, a new tagline has been unveiled: "The Source for Professional Association Management Companies."

"The AMC Institute is dedicated to serving members in terms of operations, education, marketing and other initiatives," said Executive Vice President Sue Pine. "We're now representing more associations than ever before, and as a result the AMC industry is growing by leaps and bounds. The redesigned Web site will help raise awareness of the resources and services our members provide." AMCs are professional service firms that partner with associations and typically serve as their centralized headquarters. These partnerships range from full management to specialized services, such as organizing the association's meetings or providing public relations and web development staff. Over the last two decades, the industry has more than doubled in size and now serves over 4,600 non-profit organizations.

Visitors to the new Web site will find a more streamlined appearance, additional content and easier navigation. This includes backgrounders, statistics and articles about AMCs as well as industry press releases and news about member companies.

In addition to detailed information on how to select the right AMC, volunteer association leaders can learn step-by-step instructions on writing and submitting an online Request for Proposal form. Through this process, potential or existing clients in need of assistance are able to quickly solicit AMCs for anything from full management to specialized services.

As the AMC Institute continues to expand the list of Web site improvements, AMC leaders can expect to soon have access to an in-depth searchable resource library, an online dues payment option and meeting calendar. Other amenities will include online meeting registration and printable RFP submissions.

"The Web site is one of many changes we've made to move our industry to the next level as the leading provider of high-quality professional association services," said Pine. "Through this upgrade, association leaders and staff, the media and the general public will be able to easily see the advantages of hiring an Association Management Company."
