AMCinstitute Launches New Website for Association Community — Site provides focal point for associations,
professional societies, association management companies
ATLANTA (April 28, 2004) — The debut this month of the “new and improved”
AMCinstitute website (www.AMCinstitute.org)
provides an up-to-date resource for association leaders at the more than
147,000 trade associations, professional societies and other non-profit
organizations across the country. The AMCinstitute is a joint marketing effort
, focused on Association Management Companies (AMCs), between the AMC Section
Council of American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the
International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC).
As a complement to its
“parents” at ASAE (www.asaenet.org) and
IAAMC, the AMCinstitute
website provides content on AMC’s best practices in association management and
highlights recent media articles featuring association management companies.
“The role of the AMC has
always been to be a seamless part of association leadership for its clients.
We’ve always put our clients’ identities first, and we always will. At the same
time, the AMCinstitute puts a face with a name now, and introduces others to a
behind-the-scenes look at AMCs so that AMCs become
part of the consideration set when association management is discussed,” said Judith Keel, AMCinstitute’s executive vice
president. “Our AMCinstitute Partners
across the country are all contributors to the continual refining of the
website, to assure it becomes one of the first places to look for information
on association management companies.”
The AMC community is certainly
embracing the website. “This site can help communicate our value-added services
through articles highlighting successful partnerships between
associations and association management companies,” said Dee Ann Walker, chair
of the AMCinstitute.
Website sections include
“About AMCinstitute,” highlighting the goals and priority constituencies and providing
contact information for institute leadership. “About AMCs” illustrates
up-to-date reference statistics, as well as includes access to some articles
published about AMCs. “Media” contains
media kit information including press releases, backgrounders on AMCs, a list
of typical AMC services and past articles on AMCs. In the “Partners” section,
association leaders can quickly find an AMC in its online directory. The
password protected “Partners Only” section functions as a portal of information
for AMCinstitute Partners, including coverage of the industry, annual reports,
status reports, presentations, upcoming marketing communications plans,
timelines, advertising and other tools of use by the AMC.
