Compensation & Billing Survey
(formerly two independent studies)
Compensation and Billing Survey: 2013, 2010, 2008
Historical Billable Rates Survey: 2006, 2002
Compensation Survey: 2005, 2002
Purpose:AMC Institute periodically conducts a survey of Compensation, Benefits and Billing Rates to provide the owners and key staff of association management companies with a tool to help them compare and evaluate salary, bonus, and retirement contribution levels; typical employee benefits practices and policies; and the prevalence of billing methods.
Data are reported overall and in detailed tables that show how results vary by staff size, location, and number of clients to help survey respondents use the report as a resource for comparing their practices and to find ways they can improve human resources practices in today's challenging environment.
The new study collected data from respondents who estimated their results for year‐end 2013 and was released in early 2014 to provide readers with the most comprehensive and timely report possible.
This report is relevant to nearly all AMCs regardless of size or where your firm is located. There were 65 member firms and 22 non-member firms who completed the survey. This provided a decent cross-section of firms by size and location (e.g., high cost markets vs. lower cost markets).
All survey participants received a free Executive Summary of the report. Participating members may purchase the 2013 Compensation & Billable Rates survey electronically by logging in and clicking on the Online Store link or by filling out an order form. Non-participating members may fill out the order form and return it to Headquarters at firstname.lastname@example.org.
