What prompted the search?
The challenges of the AMC that ushers the American Neurological Association into the future are manifold. In a technologically advancing world where scientific discovery happens quickly and social media have created a vast web of organic connection, it is no longer enough for a medical association to offer networking as a main benefit of membership. The ANA’s governing body, the Executive Council, has decided that in order to grow, the ANA must offer unique, deliverable benefits to members. The Council is in the process of identifying areas in which the association must improve its services, with a focus on professional development. Online tools, on-site programs and others have been identified for implementation, and a number of committees have been added to put these initiatives into place.
