Association Management Center has hired Colleen Bagnasco, CAE CMP, as executive director of the Meetings team. As executive director, Bagnasco oversees a team of 10 meeting planners who plan and execute the logistics of AMC’s client partners’ educational conferences and events. 

Bagnasco came to AMC from the Society of Actuaries (SOA), where she spent the past 17 years in senior-level roles, progressing from director of meetings and events to her most recent position as senior director, events. In that role, she led the planning of more than 200 events, negotiated hundreds of contracts with vendors that resulted in savings for the SOA and attendees, and developed innovative meeting concepts.

Her deep expertise planning complex events with an eye on cost-savings and delivering creative and customized experiences for attendees supports AMC’s customer care strategy and will enable us to deliver even more value-added service to our clients.”

Bagnasco received her bachelor of science in Hospitality Management from Roosevelt University and is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, the Professional Convention Management Association, the Greater Midwest Chapter of PCMA (for which she has volunteered with many committees), and Association Forum, for which she is currently vice chair of the Meeting Professionals SIG. 

Bagnasco began her role on June 3.
