INDIANAPOLIS — Raybourn Group International (RGI) is proud to announce that its full-service association management client, the International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics (ISSX), has received a 2026 Power of Associations Summit Award from ASAE. Nicole Brandt, CAE, HMCC, serves as ISSX's executive director.

ISSX is a leading global scientific society dedicated to advancing understanding of how chemicals are metabolized and transported within biological systems. The organization received the award for its ISSX Africa initiative, designed to expand access to education, professional connections, and research collaboration for scientists working in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics across Africa.

The initiative began with an in-person workshop that brought together 80 researchers and students from across Africa for intensive education in pharmacogenomics, pharmacokinetics, and drug–drug interactions. ISSX then partnered with scientific leaders in Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Ghana, and Ethiopia to establish a formal governance structure for the new affiliate, which officially launched in March 2025 and now provides an ongoing platform for regional programming and international collaboration.

The Power of Associations Summit Award is ASAE's highest honor for associations whose work benefits society in the United States and around the world. RGI supports ISSX's mission through full-service association management, including governance, membership, marketing, meeting planning and execution, and day-to-day operations.
