AMC Institute Committees

All committees and task forces focus their initiatives and activities around the AMC Institute's Mission, Goal and Key Objectives:

Mission: To advance the business interests of member association management companies and the AMC industry

Goal: Sustainable Member and Industry Growth

WHO ARE WE?: AMC Institute is the trade association representing the global AMC industry.

KEY OBJECTIVE #1: Business Development:
Expand markets and business opportunities for AMCI members

KEY OBJECTIVE #2: Professional Expertise and Knowledge:
Enhance the professional service level of all AMCI members 

KEY OBJECTIVE #3Alignment:
Support the needs and purposes of all member segments

Committee Information 

Accreditation & Standards Committee

The Accreditation Committee encourages, supports, and equips AMCs to succeed in becoming accredited by AMC Institute, and promotes best practices in accreditation. This committee will offer and coordinate Accreditation Workshops and Auditor Webinars and take into consideration all new edits to the ANSI Standard and how to best communicate those changes to our members. 

As defined by AMCI’s Accreditation Procedures, this committee will meet at least one time per year at the Annual Meeting.

2019 AMCs Engaged! Committee

The committee will be responsible for content and delivery of AMCs Engaged held in conjunction with the ASAE Annual Meeting.  The group will oversee the development of content including topics and speakers.

The committee will identify opportunities to leverage the educational content to showcase member specialists and expertise through the AMCI online community and other industry meetings and publications.

Applications to join the committee will be considered for the planning of the 2019 AMCs Engaged! which will be held on August 9-10, 2019 in Columbus, OH.

2020 Annual Meeting Committee 

The committee will be responsible for content and delivery of this meeting.  The group will oversee the development of content including topics and speakers.

The committee will identify opportunities to leverage the educational content to showcase member specialists and expertise through the AMCI online community and other industry meetings and publications.

Additionally, the committee will develop assessment questions for the needs and evaluation survey to determine relevancy and value of education programs.

Applications to join the committee will be considered for the planning of the 2019 Annual Meeting which will be held February 12-14, 2020 in Long Beach, CA.

Associate Member Committee

Prospect eligible associate members, serve as ambassadors to new and potential members at appropriate events, and follow up during the membership renewal process. This group will welcome new Associate Members and serve as a resource to develop educational events at AMCI meetings to provide a forum for Associate Members to maximize their membership benefits. 

Identify current and future needs to ensure ongoing interest, relevancy, and engagement with existing and potential members.

This committee will execute a targeted outreach to current Associate Members to identify and prioritize the critical data information needed to be incorporated into online member profiles. Additionally the group will provide input on relevant questions for the overall member needs and evaluation survey.

Community Engagement Committee 

The Community Engagement Committee’s main goal is membership retention and engagement. In support of the Board of Directors' strategic focus on sustainable member and industry growth, this committee will work with current members to identify gaps in member services, products, and benefits. The committee will help to foster the concept of community by regularly engaging all member types on issues and opportunities that impact AMCI members.

1. Improve the experience between members and AMCI
2. Responsible for 1st Timers Reception at Annual Meeting
3. Responsible for Ambassador Assignments at Annual Meeting
4. Responsible for calls to non-renewed members
5. Responsible for program content for regional meetings

Key deliverable's include:

• Increased membership retention 
• More/better engagement with AMCI members across the membership spectrum
• Comprehensive engagement road-map 
• Increased awareness of AMCI member benefits

The group will interact with the Associate Member Committee and the Annual Meeting Committee, as well as others on an as needed basis.

Online Education Task Force

The Online Education Task Force will be play a critical role as a strategic adviser as we work toward developing an education platform for AMCs and their staff.

Talent Center Task Force

AMCI will be launching a Talent Center in Q4 2019 to help AMCs address the war for talent.  This task force will act in an advisory role as we work to enhance the content for employers and potential job seekers.
