What We’re Building, and Why It Matters

AMCI’s Strategic Plan is built around four domains: Market Development, Community Engagement and Professional Development, Quality Assurance, and Industry Partners. Together, they support AMCI’s 50 by 2050 goal: having 50% of associations in AMCI’s target market managed by an AMC by 2050. This page shows how that strategy is taking shape through the programs, resources and investments already delivering value to members.

Four Interdependent Domains, One Strategy

AMC firms, the professionals who power them, the associations they serve and the partners who invest in their success are all essential to 50 by 2050. Strong firms and skilled professionals deliver greater value to associations. Industry Partners bring expertise and resources that help AMCs do even more. And as more associations see and experience the value of the AMC model, the industry grows.

Accreditation is the cornerstone of our commitment to quality, today and tomorrow. AMCI is investing in education, consistency and outside expertise to keep accreditation relevant and credible as expectations and needs change. DOMAIN 2

Community Engagement and Professional Development

The strength of the AMC model depends on the people behind it. AMCI is building the knowledge, expertise and connections professionals need at every stage of their careers to serve associations at the highest level and advance the industry. Through the Learning Center, career pathways, Certificate and Specialist programs, and the new AMCP credential, members have access to education, training and professional networks designed for the unique demands of the AMC environment.

DOMAIN 3

Market Development

Managing 50% of associations in our target market by 2050 means helping more associations understand the value of the AMC model. Through its strategic plan, AMCI is investing in audience research, sustained market outreach and practical tools that help tell that story. From the new Digital Marketing Toolkit to ACE, AMCI’s AI agent, these resources give AMC firms new ways to reach association leaders and boards and position the AMC model as a preferred choice for association management.

DOMAIN 4

Industry Partners

Strong AMCs benefit from strong partners. AMCI’s Industry Partners invest their expertise, resources and support directly in member firms, helping them build greater capabilities and better serve their association clients. Through the Business Exchange, hands-on programming and AMCs Care, these partnerships strengthen individual AMCs while contributing to the industry’s larger 50 by 2050 goal.

50%

of associations in the $250,000 to $9 million target market will be managed by an AMC by 2050: the long-term goal every domain is built to support.

One Strategy, Four Interdependent Domains

More associations choosing the AMC model. More firms held to a credible standard. More professionals building real careers inside it. More partners investing in what comes next. Every domain makes the other three stronger.
