About AMCI Committees

AMCI's volunteer leaders help propel the work of the Institute forward. We have a call for volunteers in the summer to select committee members for the following year. 

Committee Member Guidelines:

  • AMCI Membership is current;
  • Committee Members may serve on one committee at a time, unless otherwise given permission.
  • No more than one employee per committee, unless otherwise given permission.
  • Committee members will attend at least 70% of committee meetings.
  • Each committee term is for one year. Committee members must reapply to serve on the committee after serving their term.
  • NEW: Committee members can serve on a specific committee up to three years. After their third term, they can choose to serve on another committee, or take a year off before reapplying to their original committee.

AMCI 2026 Committee & Task Force Leadership & Charges

Annual Meeting Content Committee

  • Committee Charge: The Annual Meeting Committee develops the content, program flow, and delivery of the 2027 Annual Meeting.  
    • Review and analyze the past two years' annual meeting data, including topics and suggestions for future meetings, to ensure the educational priorities of the attendees are being met.
    • Ensure there is content applicable to all those attending the meeting and identify target audiences for education.
  • Frequency of committee meetings: Once per month 
  • Term Commitment: February 2026 - January 2027
  • 2027 Annual Meeting Chair: JoAnn Evingson, Global Management Partners 

Accreditation & Standards Committee

  • Committee Charge: To encourage, support, and equip AMCs to attain accreditation by AMC Institute, and promote best practices in accreditation.
    • Vet out and create educational materials for online learning and process experience to help AMCs begin and go through the accreditation process. Once complete, work with the marketing team to promote widely.
    • Create standards to vet CPAs for an approver reviewer list.
    • Update process and policies around AMCI Accreditation violations to strengthen the process.
  • Frequency of committee meetings: Once per month
  • Term Commitment: January 2026 - December 2026

AMCs Engaged Content Committee

  • Committee Charge:  The AMCs Engaged Committee develops the content, program flow, and delivery of the 2026 AMCs Engaged.
    • Review and analyze the past two years' AMCs Engaged data, including topics and suggestions for future meetings, to ensure the educational priorities of the attendees are being met.
    • Ensure there is content applicable to all those attending the meeting and identify target audiences for education.
    • Target Audiences:
        • C-Suite AMC Executives
        • Key department heads
        • Emerging & Next Gen leaders
        • C-Suite AMC Executives & Owner
  • Frequency of committee meetings: Once per month 
  • 2026 Chair: Beth Knight, MCI USA

The Call for Volunteers for the AMCs Engaged Committee runs on a different calendar cycle from the other committees. Stay tuned for more details on the next Call for Volunteers for this committee. 

Emerging AMC Executives Committee (formerly Emerging Leaders)

  • Committee Charge: To promote engagement of mid-level professionals within the AMCI community and provide oversight to foster the concept of an emerging AMC executive community through engagement around issues and opportunities that impact the next generation of AMC leaders.
    • Develop and test a proof of concept for mentoring cohorts.
    • Develop quarterly webinar/roundtables for emerging AMC executives and encourage other AMCs to send their emerging AMC executives to these engagement sessions.
    • Liaise with the newly developed task force to build out the career pathways initiative.
    • Identify committee members to engage with the meeting content committees to give feedback on the call for proposals.
    • Submit as a committee educational session that relate to each meeting’s call for proposals.
  • Frequency of committee meetings: Once per month 
  • Term Commitment: January 2026 - December 2026

Professional Advancement Committee

  • Committee Charge: To develop a comprehensive plan for AMCI's professional development content, delivery, and financial modeling.
      • Liaise with a task force to design and implement an AMC-specific career pathways initiative to integrate AMCI’s internal education opportunities and external growth opportunities.
      • Develop an AMC 101 course to introduce new employees to the AMC industry.
      • Yearly review of online educational courses.
      • Develop webinars to showcase modules in certificate and specialist courses yearly.
      • Identify committee members to engage with the meeting content committees to give feedback on the call for proposals.
      • Submit as a committee educational sessions that relate to each meeting’s call for proposals.
  • Frequency of committee meetings: Once per month, with additional task force work between meetings
  • Term Commitment: January 2026- December 2026

Industry Partner Committee

  • Committee Charge: To prospect eligible Industry partners, serve as ambassadors to new and potential members at appropriate events, and follow up during the membership renewal process.
      • Develop events/networking opportunities within AMCI meetings.
      • Identify AMC leaders who can give advice/feedback to the committee.
      • Develop a session on best practices in communicating with AMCs and turn it into a one-page document.
  • Frequency of committee meetings: Once per month
  • Term Commitment: January 2026 - December 2026
