AMC Institute Enlists Top Talent to Deliver Ambitious Emergence Plan

Alexandria, Virginia – The AMC Institute (AMCI) is pleased to announce the additions of Krista LeZotte, CMP, CSEP, DES as Vice President, Events, Membership, and Education, and Thomas Pigg as Manager, Membership & Marketing/Communications to their management team. A recognized leader in the business events industry, Ms. LeZotte was most recently responsible for the oversight of operations and engagement for the American Society of Association Executives’ (ASAE) programs and conferences. Her exceptional work resulted in being named ASAE’s 2019 Employee of the Year. Mr. Pigg brings over a decade of experience working with nonprofits, developing and executing professional and educational programming.

“We are delighted to welcome Krista and Thomas to the AMCI team. Their collective expertise brings the skill sets we need now to ensure our members thrive as leaders through a post-COVID recovery,” said AMCI’s President & CEO Tina Wehmeir, CMP, CAE.

The two join the Institute as the association management company (AMC) community embarks on an accelerated journey to strengthen and grow their association clientele. A major initiative underway is AMCI’s Annual Meeting to be held June 2-4, 2021 in Orlando. In a first for the business events industry since the outbreak of the pandemic, the meeting will be held entirely in person. It will serve both as an educational forum for senior AMC executives and a real-time, best practice case study for member firms who produce events for more than two thousand associations. A March member survey found 80% of AMCI’s members plan to restart face-to-face meetings by the third quarter of this year.

Ms. LeZotte adds, “AMCI’s commitment to innovation, education, and community support creates an incredible opportunity to develop new ideas and solutions for AMCs and the associations they serve. I am excited to be part of a group whose possibilities seem limitless.”
