AMCs Connect with Partners, Each Other at IMEX America

IMEX America is the largest trade show in the US for the global meetings, events, and incentive travel industry.  As IMEX puts it, this trade show “brings the meetings industry together to do a year’s worth of business under one roof”. AMCI is pleased to represent the AMC industry at events like IMEX America, marketing the model to associations and vendors alike.

In addition to marketing the AMC industry, AMCI also brings together a group of hosted buyers to showcase the power behind the AMCI community. For our buyers, this is a great way to network with one another as they search for the best technology and destinations for their clients. For AMCI’s industry partners, the hosted buyers group is a chance to have intimate conversations with AMC professionals, who work with multiple association clients.

Some industry partners gave amazing group presentations about their services or destinations.

Other partners hosted lovely meal experiences, allowing buyers to have a perfect experience of business and fun.

As with many trade shows, education is a critical component. Many of the hosted buyer were able to join MPI's Smart Monday, where they learned about topics such as designing inclusive events, event sustainability, the usage of AI, or physical and mental wellness among planners, leaders and attendees.

While trade shows like IMEX are built for making and following up on leads or learning the newest trends in the industry, the most important aspect of the show is the impact of human connection. Consider for a moment that AMCI brought together planners, account executives, and owners, from small, medium and large AMCs located in Turkey, Canada, Kentucky, Indiana, Virginia, Ohio, and Massachusetts.

Where else would this type of connection happening? In what other context would you see competitors share business ideas, suggest venues for meetings, or work to connect each other with new vendors? This is exactly what happens with the AMCI hosted buyers group, and each time AMC professionals come together to connect with one another, it propels the industry forward.

Even though IMEX America is just coming to a close, we are already looking toward the future. In 2024, AMCI will continue with its presence at IMEX, marketing the AMC model. We will continue to connect AMCs and AMC professionals with each other, and with our valued industry partners.

We believe your staff and coworkers will benefit from joining the AMCI hosted buyers group. If you are interested, please keep the dates below in mind when planning for 2024 and consider joining our hosted buyers group!
